RETURN TO SCHOOL
We are not sure who was the most excited on drop off to school yesterday morning - the children or the adults! It was lovely to see the enthusiasm and everyone commented on just how very ‘chatty’ the tamariki were on their first day back! Both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education are confident that with appropriate hygiene practices and caution around ‘higher risk activities’ in place, the tamariki are perfectly safe here at school. We are exercising caution around activities they consider to be a ‘higher risk’ of any droplet contamination, but mostly, we are able to get on with ‘almost normal’ school life. On-line learning is no longer available - learning is now completed here at school. PLEASE NOTE - Drop off and pick up procedures are slightly different to those at alert level 1. While at Level 2, the children are to be dropped at school no earlier than 8.30am, staff will be at their meet and greet points to welcome the tamariki in - we will deliver them back to these points at 2.45pm for TKW and TKP and at 3.00pm for TKM, TKA and TKT. The purpose for this is to restrict the number of adults we have in a limited space at the same time. There is to be no playing or gathering at school at the end of the day either.
