Thank you so much to everyone who came along and supported our athletic sports on Tuesday. We really appreciate that so many of you managed to find some time to support the chi ldren.
A squad of athletes have been selected to represent our school at the interschool event next Wednesday.
Excitement is mounting for athletic sports next Tuesday. Years 3 - 6 will be starting at 9.45am, Years 1 and 2 will start a little later at 10.30am. A sausage sizzle lunch will be served from 12.40pm. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy as much of the morning as you can spare!
IT IS VITAL THAT THE CHILDREN WEAR THEIR SUN HAT (when they are not actively running) and THAT THEY ARRIVE AT SCHOOL WELL SUNBLOCKED. We also strongly recommend your child has their own drink bottle. House t-shirts are encouraged too.
Thank you to everyone who made the effort to come to our Mad Scientist’s evening last night. It is great that so many of you make the time to come to events that we hold here at school. Adults who share in their children’s learning give their children a very powerful message about the importance of a strong home/school partnership. It also gives everyone the opportunity to share in the idea that learning is fun (especially in science).
My sincere thanks to Reece Hawkins for his leadership in the preparation of this evening and also to each of the teaching team for planning and implementing the kete experiments.
Special thanks to Haifa and her PTA team who sold the American Hotdogs last night too.
Congratulations to Elizabeth (TKP) whose balloon racer outraced everyone elses.
I hope everyone has received their invitation to the Mad Scientist’s evening to be held here at school next Thursday evening (9th November). The PTA will be selling American hotdogs from 5pm for $3.00 each - cash only, thank you. The welcome and kete activities/experiments will commence at 5.30pm. The fun will all be over by 6.30pm, so it will not be a late night. We are in the process of reviewing our science curriculum and really need your thoughts and ideas to consider.
