Thank you so much to everyone who was able to attend the Christmas Carnival/ School prize-giving/ Year 6 graduation on Tuesday evening. Lots of people tell us that they like the combination of the casual carnival atmosphere followed by the celebrations associated with performances and prize- giving. My special thanks go to the PTA who do lots of ‘behind the scenes’ work in preparing the food stalls, along with ‘front of the house’ duties in selling, serving and cleaning up. Thanks to our teaching and non-teaching staff who also put extra effort into supporting the occasion.
ADULT HELPERS IN OUR SCHOOL
Due to lack of space at the moment (and the dramatic decline over recent years in numbers able to attend), we have decided not to hold a ‘parent helpers’ morning tea this year. THIS DOES NOT MEAN WE SUDDENLY DON’T HUGELY APPRECIATE OUR VOLUNTEER HELPERS!!
We promise that we definitely appreciate each and every one of you and sincerely thank you for helping us over the year.
At the morning tea I usually tell our helpers that we simply could not offer the range of experiences we currently offer for the children without their help. So if you have helped coach or manage a sports team, served on our Board of Trustees or PTA, provided transport/help for a trip, made or tidied resources, helped out in a classroom, donated items for us to reuse, provided baking, helped out with the pool (or indeed anything else I’ve missed), we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We also hope you’ll help us again next year.
