Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the Year 4 - 6 visits to Te Rangimarie marae this week. As usual, the
Te Awe Awe whānau have provided our tamariki with a very welcoming environment in which to learn more about the
culture and traditions of our local Rangitane people.
We will be holding a whānau hui in Term 2 and look forward to your suggestions/ideas for ways that we can further
strengthen these partnerships and develop deeper understandings.
I trust that everyone had a fabulous long weekend, and enjoyed the autumn sun. Due to this being a very short
week, this week’s newsletter is mostly to bring you up to date with end of term and early term two events.
There will be photos of this week’s Rippa Rugby tournament and the Enviro teams outing in next weeks’
It has been great to see so many of you here this week to spend time in your child’s kete, having the
opportunity to chat with their teachers, and see some of the exciting things happening in classrooms here at
school. We also enjoyed sharing current learning goals and giving you an indication of progress in the NZ
Next Wednesday we are offering a whānau korero for anyone who wishes to have a follow up (10 minute) 1:1
conversation with their child’s whānau teacher - these will be held between 3.20pm and 5.20pm on Wednesday
7th April. Booking an appointment time is essential – If you want an extra discussion please email your child’s
whānau teacher prior to 8.30am on Wednesday to see if there are any spaces left.
Ms Finikin is also available to meet with whānau (by appointment) that afternoon too.
