Entries for May 2022

Term 2, Week 4 - 2022

Thank you to the 162 families that responded to our survey regarding the end of the day times. As 80% of the respondents were in favour of retaining the ‘split’ end of day times, we will be continuing with this practice. 2.45pm TKW and TKP tamariki (and if required, their siblings) are released from their meet and greet points. They must be released to a parent/caregiver, not sent to wait somewhere.

3.00pm TKM, TKA and TKT tamariki are released from their meet and greet points.

TKW and TKP parents can request a regular 3.00pm pick up if 2.45pm is challenging. We do ask that you select the preferred pick up time and stay with it. It’s very confusing to everyone if it chops and changes day to day or from week to week. Please email your child’s whānau teacher with your selected time in the coming days. Thanks for your participation in the survey and thank you for your ongoing support.

Term 2, Week 3 - 2022

Thanks so much to everyone who has supported this fundraiser - we have received orders for an amazing amount of pies and lamingtons (1,822). Our top sellers will be recognised at next week’s assembly.

The pies will be delivered to school next Thursday afternoon at 1.30pm - anyone who can spare an hour to help us pack orders would be greatly appreciated. You do not have to be a PTA member to help out. Either just pop into the hall and help - or even better, let us know you can come by emailing Amy at amywestergaard@gmail.com.

If your child has a large order (bigger than they are going to be able to carry themselves), please come to the hall by 3pm to collect on their behalf.

Term 2, Week 2- 2022

Our delicious ‘family pie’ and ‘lamington’ fundraiser is underway. Our supplier is Rosebowl Bakery in Feilding. Your child came home with an order form at the end of last term. Let us know urgently if you need another one by contacting the office. Those of you who are able to get multiple orders - thank you! Please have friends/family either pay cash or pay into your bank account and you then send one payment into the school account. Orders close on Monday, so this is a last call.
We have received ‘random’ payments from people who are not using any reference details that can help us identify who the order is for, so please follow the instructions above.

There will be prizes for our top sellers, so let’s see if we can make this a really good fundraising event.
We also ask that anyone who has excess paper supermarket bags, please send them to school for the PTA (and helpers) to pack pie orders into. Do let us know if you can help the PTA pack up orders on the afternoon of the 26th May. Thanks for your help with this.

Term 2, Week 1 - 2022

Welcome to Term 2 - I trust everyone enjoyed the long weekends and wonderful weather over the term break.
It’s great to have lots more children back at school and we are optimistic about being able to offer a ‘more normal’ term where the tamariki can interact with others across the school and participate in all our usual events.
While we await any n
ew instructions, we are following MOE’s strong recommendation that everyone in Years 4 and above (and all adults) wear masks indoors. Thank you for your ongoing support.
