Week 6 - Term 3

Next week is Book Week! Yipee!!! Every day the children will be treated to something special related to’ Leaping off the Page’. We have mystery guest readers daily, a dress up as your favourite book character on Wednesday, followed by the book and bake sale. Thursday is our guest author, with bedtime stories for Years 1 and 2 that evening.
We hope everyone will get involved in some way. The dress up parade is on Wednesday morning just after 9am - come along and watch if you can.

Week 2 - Term 3

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in the Spell-a-thon. If your child learnt to spell (and know the meaning) of some new words, their writing will be able to be much richer! All forms and money should be back at the office by now, please ensure this is tidied up by Monday morning at the latest. Some families have made SPECTACULAR efforts with the fundraising too - thank you! All funds raised will be placed into the ‘all weather turf’ project that we hope will soon be approved.

Week 1 - Term 2

Our sincere condolences and thoughts have been with the Tamatea whanau this week, after the very unexpected passing of Andrea Tamatea’s husband Dawson. Andrea is one of the Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) who is based at our school and she works closely with our staff and learners. Dawson is widely known and respected across the city, having been a teacher at PNBHS for many years, as well as being actively involved in the community at many levels, including being the magnificent guitarist for our own Kapa Haka group.

To Andrea, Sarah, Kimiora, Hana, Waho and all whanau - we are very sad for your huge loss.
