Over the last week you have received several very important notices. Thank you to those of you who have already returned your EOTC notice and/or popped your term calendar somewhere for ready access. If you have not received your kete newsletter or the EOTC permission slip or the term calendar, please phone the office and we can arrange to get another one to your child.

Welcome to the 2017 school year. A very special welcome to our new students, who have all made fantastic starts at our school. We have an ‘action packed’ term planned and can’t wait to share it with the children and our community whanau.
Term 4, Week 10 2016
16 December, 2016 by Hokowhitu School
What a fantastic evening our Christmas Carnival, prize giving and Year 6 graduation turned out to be on Tuesday evening! The weather was (relatively speaking) kind to us, the food was fantastic and we were delighted with the number of families who supported the event. Too many great people assisted for me to name you all, but I do want to acknowledge Susan Calkin’s leadership in co-ordinating all the food helpers and menus! My sincere thanks to everyone who helped, we value your support immensely. While the exact proceeds are not available at this time, we know that more than $1700.00 was raised - and the PTA are directing these funds to subsidising next year’s EOTC week.
Term 4, Week 9 2016
09 December, 2016 by Hokowhitu School
On Wednesday the staff said a heartfelt thank you to those ‘helpful people’ who were able to make it to morning tea. We are aware that many of our ‘very helpful people’ are not able to make it to school at that time. On behalf of the staff at Hokowhitu School, a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who does those extra things for us. So many of you serve our school so well - BoT, PTA, help in classrooms, school trips/events, resource and/or costume making, sports coaching, library assistance, accessing resources/people - just to name a few of the vital roles fulfilled. The stronger the home and school partnership can be, the stronger the relationships are.
Term 4, Week 8 2016

Can you believe it is December already? They say ‘time flies when you are having fun’, so that must mean we are having an absolute ‘blast’ here at school as 2016 has certainly flown by.
