BALLOT FOR OUT OF ZONE ENROLMENTS
The ballot for Terms 3 and 4 New Entrant enrolments will be held on the 8th April. This means that we MUST have enrolment forms completed and handed in by this time. This includes families who already have a child here at school - please don’t assume we know about you!
If you know of anyone who is expecting/hoping that their new entrant will be starting at our school in Terms 3 or 4 of this year, please let them know about the upcoming ballot and requirements.

Doesn’t our planter box look lovely now it is fully planted? Thank you so much to the team of children who planted these for us with the support of Miss Coley, Mrs Handcock and Laurie Howell from Palmers Garden World. This completes the first stage of the combined PTA/BoT project to enhance the frontage of our school - stage 2 is yet to come!

Next Monday morning we have our whole school Assembly at 9am. Our student ambassadors will lead the assembly and Miss Salter and Miss Coley’s whanau classes will be sharing some of their learning. An audience is welcome so stay if you can.

It is exciting to have construction underway for what will become our newest learning space - Te Kete Pounamu (TKP). While the classes are in ‘temporary’ spaces at the moment, they can still enjoy watching the progress of the build from behind the fences!
We are offering a fourth ‘open session’ on the 21st March (from 11.30 -12.30) to allow parents/caregivers the opportunity to see the existing ‘kete’ in operation and to ask the learners what they think about learning in a flexible learning space as opposed to the traditional single classroom. The physical open space makes learning collaboratively much easier, however teachers right across the school are working more closely with their colleagues to plan/implement and monitor programmes for the learners in their area of the school, not just their whanau class.

We have already completed two weeks of the new term - how time flies when you are having fun!
As a staff we are committed to making the home/school partnership as strong as possible to enhance outcomes for our learners. We hope that you find us this way too! Feel free to email to make a time to chat with your child’s teacher (or team leader) at any time that you would like clarification or better understanding of anything that you see/hear or want to know more about.
