Welcome to the 2019 school year. A very special welcome to our new students, who have made fantastic starts at our school. We have an ‘action packed’ term planned and can’t wait to share it with the children and our community whānau. Our inquiry focus is centred around the concept of ‘Taumahekeheke - (competing in a healthy, positive way).
Welcome to the 2019 school year everyone! I hope you’ve all had a fabulous summer break.
School opens at 8.50am this Thursday the 31st January.
Congratulations to all our learners recognised at our prize-giving on Wednesday evening. It was lovely to celebrate the successes of so many of our tamariki - and also exciting to recognise the student leadership team of 2019.
My ‘hugest’ thanks to everyone who helped out with the shopping, cooking and serving of food, and tidying up after the carnival. What a fabulous success the evening was. Special thanks to Tabitha Prisk who shouldered a large portion of the co-ordination this year - you are amazing!
Sincere thanks to ASB who have supported this year’s Christmas Carnival by providing everything (including the person power) for the sausage sizzle stall. We are very appreciative of this support.
ALL sports uniforms are due back to school urgently thank you. Please return these to your whānau teacher. We will need to invoice parents ($70.00) for any uniforms outstanding at the end of next week.
Thank you so much to everyone who has already washed and returned their uniform.
Congratulations to Miss Salter and Miss Coley who have both secured Kete Leader positions at our school from next year. Hilary and Amanda will join Mrs Gifford Moore and Mrs Hodge as part of the leadership team along with Mrs Griffin, Mr Hawkins and myself.
